Police are asking the public, mainly those working in the trucking industry, for help finding out what happened to a 65-year-old hitchhiker who was killed three months ago.

The man, one Frederick John Hatch, was last seen December 16, 2015 in Nepean, Ontario, and his body was found early the next morning in Erin, Ontario, east of the 10th Line off Wellington Road 124.

Hatch was known to frequent truck stops to find rides. He was a white male, around 5’6″ with a heavy build, and sporting a curving moustache and shoulder-length grey hair. Hatch was wearing a jean vest with Disney cartoon characters over a dark hoodie and blue jean pants. He was carrying a red and black duffle bag.

Those with information are asked to call the Ontario police hotline at 1-844-677-5010. Callers can remain anonymous. There is also a Crime Stoppers reward of up to $2,000.
