Internet users are reporting YouTube is displaying “An error has occured” while those users attempt to view videos on the website while using Adblock.

When users log out of their Google/YouTube account and attempt to view the videos again, they can access the videos, causing Adblock community members to suspect Google is flagging the accounts that use adblockers.

Google, which is now a part of the Alphabet company, derives most of its income from advertising, including ads placed on YouTube videos.

It is estimated that up to 30% of internet users now employ Adblock, Adblock Plus, or another ad blocking app, which has cut funding for internet publishers by roughly the same amount.
